The 7 tickets to hell.

I’m not sure if you guys have read in the newspapers lately that the Vatican has drawn up 7 new sins for our times. Adding on to the 7 original sins that will earn you a ride to hell, now even the inability to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” may just sent to the home of the devils.

THE ORIGINAL 7 DEADLY SINS:

  1. Sloth
  2. Envy
  3. Gluttony
  4. Greed
  5. Lust
  6. Wrath
  7. Pride

THE 7 NEW SINS:

  1. Genetic Modification(Does HYVs count?)
  2. Human Experimentation(So instead of cloning humans, why don’t we have another Dolly the sheep??)
  3. Polluting the environment(Stop smoking!!!)
  4. Social Injustice(Say no to racist, sexist, egoist, etc!!)
  5. Causing Poverty(Stay outta earth, cheater-bugs! Stop taking people’s money away! Somebody, call Robin-Hood, please!)
  6. Financial Gluttony(Arlo?! You don’t need so much money, so please stop widening the financial gaps in the world! Can donate anot?!)
  7. Taking Drugs(It’s official that if you harm your body, you go to hell. So please stop hurting yourself!)

A quote from Monsigpnor Girotti, a close ally of the Pope and the head of the Apostolic Penitentiary, one of the Roman Curia’s main court- “The sins of yesteryear are rather individualistic. The sins of today have a social resonance as well as an individual one. In effect, it is more important than ever to pay attention to your sins.”

I agree with whatever that is said in the quote because the 7 new sins are really things that sets the stage for whatever destructions that are happening around the world now. And thisĀ  stage will always be held up by the original 7 sins, because this sins are drilled into the core of our souls by what ever demons around.

I do hope that these 7 new mortal sins that the Vatican has drawn up would create more awareness among people, whether they are Catholics or not. It is very important for a person living in current society to realize that the actions of one man does affect many. Maybe with the implementations of the new sins, people will realize that things done by a person will, at the end of the day, judge the road in the afterlife.

What goes around apparently comes around, indeed. Karma or not, this is the rule of the game.
